Abstract

The field of palliative care has witnessed significant advancements in recent years, as the healthcare landscape continues to evolve to better address the needs of patients at the end-of-life. This paper explores the trends and innovations in palliative care services, highlighting the strategic shifts in approach and practice that have emerged to enhance end-of-life care. The integration of multidisciplinary teams, person-centered care models, and technological advancements plays a central role in shaping contemporary palliative care. The rising prevalence of chronic diseases has necessitated a more proactive approach to managing symptoms and improving quality of life for patients with life-limiting illnesses. Additionally, the growing emphasis on advance care planning and the normalization of discussions surrounding death and dying have contributed to a more holistic and compassionate approach to end-of-life care. This paper provides an overview of these developments, emphasizing the importance of personalized and supportive care in the final stages of life.
